2 HPD Officers Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash at Blodgett Street and Ennis Street

Houston, Texas (June 12, 2020) – According to a local news source, two Houston police officers were injured after a chase ended in a crash Thursday night in Houston’s Third Ward.

The crash happened on Thursday, June 11, at the intersection of Blodgett and Ennis streets, near the Texas Southern University campus.

According to the report, HPD officers spotted a vehicle that had been taken in an armed robbery days ago. Officers had received several reports that the vehicle had been involved in random shootings in different areas of the city.

The officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped away, and a chase ensued.

The chase came to an end when the suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a building. The police vehicle then crashed into the suspect’s vehicle.

Two officers were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of them had a cut on his head while the other had an arm injury.

Two people were taken into custody, but a third person fled.

An investigation is underway.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
