2 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash at North Koenigheim Street and West Harris Avenue Downtown in San Angelo

Two Hospitalized after San Angelo Car Crash at North Koenigheim Street and West Harris Avenue Downtown
San Angelo, Texas(January 1, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash Monday morning at a San Angelo intersection, according to a local news release.
The crash occurred at about 10:20 a.m. December 31, in the area of North Koenigheim Street and West Harris Avenue downtown.
Police said a GMC Sierra was traveling eastbound on West Harris Avenue downtown when the driver ran a stop sign at the intersection and was struck by a Dodge Ram which was traveling northbound on North Koenigheim Street.
The Dodge driver and a passenger sustained injuries in the crash. One of the victims was taken by an ambulance to the hospital while the other was transported by a private car.
The Sierra driver was uninjured in the crash and was cited for running a red light.
Both involved vehicles were towed away from the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
