Two Hospitalized after Gainesville Crash on East Broadway Street
Gainesville, Texas (April 30, 2019) – Two people were injured Sunday evening in an auto-pedestrian accident in Gainesville, according to the officials.
The accident happened at about 7:00 p.m. April 28, in the 1400 block of East Broadway Street.
Police said a 54-year-old Gainesville woman was driving a gray 2018 Jeep Cherokee westbound on the street when she suffered a medical episode, causing her to veer off the roadway. The Jeep then hit a 16-year-old boy who was on the sidewalk, before coming to a rest against a tree.
The boy was taken to Medical City Denton in stable condition.
The Jeep driver was taken to North Texas Medical Center also in stable condition.
The police are investigating the crash.
