Two Injured in McLennan County Two-Vehicle Crash at New Road and I-35

McLennan County, Texas (January 18, 2020) – Two people were injured in a head-on crash early Friday morning in McLennan County, according to a local news source.

The crash was reported around 2:30 a.m. January 17, at the intersection of New Road and the I-35.

Police said a white truck ran a red light at the intersection and crashed head-on into an 18-wheeler as it turned onto New Road.

Two people in the truck were taken to the hospital in unknown conditions.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured in the crash.

Police said alcohol is a likely factor in the crash.

The Waco police are investigating the crash.
