2 Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on US 285 in Corpus Christi

Two Injured in Corpus Christi 18-Wheeler Crash on US Highway 285

Corpus Christi, Texas (May 3, 2023) – Two people were injured Tuesday evening in an 18-wheeler crash in Corpus Christi, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened just after 3:00 p.m., May 2, on U.S. Hwy 285 between Riviera and Falfurrias.

DPS said an 18-wheeler and a U.S. Border Patrol unit were traveling eastbound when they collided.

The driver of the Border Patrol unit was taken to CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline Hospital. The second Border Patrol agent was taken to a Kingsville hospital for treatment.

The 18-wheeler driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
