Two Injured in Harris County Two-Vehicle Crash near Highway 6 at Bellaire Boulevard

Harris County, Texas (December 23, 2020) – Two people were injured early Tuesday morning in a traffic collision involving a suspected intoxicated driver in west Harris County, according to deputies.

The crash happened around 12:30 a.m., December 22, near the intersection of Highway 6 at Bellaire Boulevard. 

Deputies said an SUV was traveling at a very high rate of speed when it rear-ended another vehicle. The impact pushed that vehicle for about 550 feet.

The driver of the vehicle was taken by an ambulance to the hospital in stable condition. The passenger was airlifted to the hospital in stable condition.

The SUV ended up through a fence and the driver was uninjured.

Deputies said intoxication might have been a factor in the crash.

The SUV driver could be facing numerous charges.

The crash remains under investigation.
