Two Injured in Wellborn Two-Vehicle Crash at S. Dowling Road and Wellborn Road

Wellborn, Texas (April 8, 2021) – Two people were injured on Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck in Wellborn, according to the police.

The crash occurred just before 2:00 p.m., on April 6, in the area of S. Dowling Road and Wellborn Road, near Texas Burger.

Police said the dump truck was traveling northbound on Wellborn Road while a pickup truck was traveling northbound in the center turn lane.

The pickup suddenly entered the path of the dump truck, resulting in a collision.

The impact caused the dump truck to flip onto its side.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The pickup driver was cited for failure to yield right of way.

The crash slowed down traffic on Wellborn Road.

The crash remains under investigation.
