2 Injured in DWI Crash on Hwy 191 in Midland County; Richard Rodriguez Arrested

Two Injured in Midland County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 191; Richard Rodriguez Arrested

Midland County, Texas (October 30, 2021) – Two people were injured on October 23 in a DWI crash in Midland County, according to the authorities.

The crash happened just after midnight on Highway 191.

Authorities said Richard Paul Rodriguez, 36, was driving a red Mercedes car when he rear-ended a large SUV in the outside lane of the highway.

The impact caused the SUV driver to lose control and rollover several times.

The SUV driver sustained severely broken fingers in the crash, while the passenger sustained a broken pelvis and other minor injuries.

Rodriguez was taken to the hospital for medical clearance. He was then arrested and booked into the Midland County Jail. He has since been charged with Intoxication Assault.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
