2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Slaton Hwy in Lubbock

Two Injured in Lubbock Multi-Vehicle Crash on Slaton Highway near Montford Unit

Lubbock, Texas (May 21, 2020) – Two people were seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash in Lubbock, according to police.

The crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. May 20, on Slaton Highway near the Montford unit.

Police said a vehicle was towing another vehicle when a third vehicle crashed into the vehicle that was being towed.

One person in the first vehicle sustained serious injuries while another sustained moderate injuries.

A fourth vehicle slowed down to avoid the crash and was rear-ended by another vehicle. Only minor injuries were reported in this crash.

A car hauler lost its load in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
