Two Injured in Waller County Plane Crash at Houston Executive Airport

Waller County, Texas (October 20, 2021) – Two people were injured Tuesday morning in a plane crash in Waller County, according to the authorities.

The crash happened around 10:00 a.m., October 19, at the Houston Executive Airport, near FM 2855, north of Morton Road.

Authorities said the McDonnell Douglas MD-87 was heading to Boston for the American League Championship Series and was taking off from the airport. It never got off the ground and rolled through a fence and into a field where it caught fire.

There were 21 people, 18 passengers, and three crew members on board the plane at the time of the crash.

Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the crash.
