Two Men Injured in Bridgeport Plane Crash near Bridgeport Municipal Airport

Bridgeport, Texas (March 27, 2021) – Two people were injured Friday afternoon in a plane crash in Bridgeport, according to officials.

The crash happened around 4:15 p.m., March 26, near the Bridgeport Municipal Airport.

FAA said a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza took off from the airport when it experienced engine trouble, and the pilot tried to return to the airport, but the plane clipped some trees and crashed near the runway.

Two men in the plane, ages 78 and 76, were airlifted to hospitals with unknown injuries.

No other details regarding the crash were provided.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
