2 Injured in Rollover Crash on I-35 in Austin

Two Injured in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (January 17, 2022) – Two people were injured Sunday afternoon in a rollover crash in Austin, according to officials.

The crash happened around 2:00 p.m., on January 16, in the 1600 block of Interstate 35, just south of East Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.

Officials said two vehicles collided in the northbound lane of the interstate. Both vehicles rolled over after the crash.

At least two people were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated.

Two adults were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Two other people refused transportation to the hospital.

The crash caused delays in both the northbound and southbound lanes.

The crash remains under investigation.
