2 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 87 at FM 41 in Lubbock

Two Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash at Highway 87 and FM 41

Lubbock, Texas (March 23, 2021) – Two people were injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Lubbock, according to the DPS.

The crash occurred around 7:00 a.m., March 22, at the intersection of Highway 87 and FM 41.

DPS said a semi-truck, hauling cleaning supplies, was traveling southbound on Highway 87 while a Jeep was traveling eastbound on FM 41.

The Jeep failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and collided with the semi-truck.

The impact caused the semi-truck to flip over.

The Jeep driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The semi-truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
