Two Injured in Spring Two-Vehicle Crash on I-45 near Cypresswood

Spring, Texas (January 15, 2021) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night in Spring, north of Houston, according to authorities.

The crash happened on January 14, on Interstate 45, north of Cypresswood.

Authorities said two vehicles collided on the freeway for unknown reasons. The impact caused both vehicles to hit the median. One of the vehicles flew off the freeway, went across the frontage road, and cartwheeled. It landed upside down in a closed garage bay at the Pep Boys auto shop.

Two people were trapped in the vehicle, and Life Flight was called to the scene.

Two people were detained at the scene.

The crash closed the northbound frontage road for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
