2 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 62 in Orange County

Two Injured in Orange County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 62

Orange County, Texas (July 8, 2020) – Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Orange County, according to DPS.

The crash happened around 2:00 p.m. on July 7, on State Highway 62.

DPS said a 2017 Nissan Maxima was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a southbound 2018 Kia Soul.

The impact caused both vehicles to flip several times and come to rest in opposite ditches.

The Kia driver was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.

The Nissan driver was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital with unknown injuries.

Troopers said alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
