Two Injured in Amarillo Motorcycle Crash on Southwest 6th Avenue and South Prospect Street
Amarillo, Texas (August 9, 2019) – Two people were injured in a motorcycle collision on Thursday evening in northwest Amarillo, according to the Amarillo police.
The incident took place shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday, August 8, on Southwest 6th Avenue and South Prospect Street.
Police said a vehicle was traveling southbound on Prospect Street when its driver failed to yield and pulled out in front of a motorcycle heading west on Southwest 6th Avenue.
The two collided and the driver of the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the motorcycle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The two occupants of the car were not injured.
The Amarillo Police Department is investigating the crash.
