2 Hospitalized after Wood County Small Plane Crash on FM 2869

Wood County, Texas (June 13, 2019) – Two people were injured when a small plane crashed Thursday morning in Wood County, authorities said.

The crash was reported at about 10:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of FM 2869, behind the Holly Lake Car Wash.

According to the authorities, the plane, an Ercuope model 415-C fixed wing single-engine plane, crashed for unknown reasons. The front end of the plane and the wings were mangled following the crash.

The pilot and passenger were taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Their names and current condition were not immediately disclosed.

FAA  and  NTSB are investigating the accident.
