Two Killed, Two Injured in McKinney Crash on U.S. 380 at Stonebridge Road

McKinney, Texas (June 25, 2022) – Two people were killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday evening in McKinney, police said.

The fatal wreck took place on U.S. 380 at Stonebridge Road on Friday, June 24.

According to the police, a sedan was heading eastbound on U.S. 380 and was slowing for a yellow light at Stonebridge Road when it was struck from behind by a pick-up truck.

Two passengers in the rear seat of the sedan were transported to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Two other occupants of the sedan were also taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The pick-up truck driver, who was not injured, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.

The intersection was temporarily closed for an unknown time while the investigation and cleanup took place.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided. The accident remains under investigation.
