2 Passengers Killed, 1 Hospitalized after Amarillo Crash on 34th Avenue and Lipscomb Street

Amarillo, Texas (May 7, 2022) – A two-vehicle collision in Amarillo has claimed the lives of two people Friday and left several others injured, according to a report by the Amarillo Police Department.

The deadly crash happened at around noon Friday, May 6, at the intersection of 34th Avenue and Lipscomb Street.

Police said a Ford Mustang and a Dodge Durango were traveling westbound on 34th Avenue when they collided. The impact caused both vehicles to overturn. The Mustang ended up crashing into a home.

Two passengers in the Durango were pronounced dead at the scene. One other person suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.

The occupants of the Mustang had only minor injuries.

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating the crash.
