2 Killed in Car Crash on Highway 287 in Wichita Falls

Two Killed in Wichita Falls Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 287 near Burnett Ranch Road

Wichita Falls, Texas (December 20, 2020) – Two people were killed Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Wichita Falls, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m., December 19, on Highway 287, near Burnett Ranch Road, west of Iowa Park.

DPS said a man and a woman were traveling on the highway when they attempted to make a U-turn, and their car was struck by a semi-trailer truck.

One person in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was taken to the hospital, where they later died.

No further details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
