Two Killed in North Austin Semi-Truck Crash on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (November 2, 2021) – Two people were killed Monday night in a two-vehicle crash in North Austin, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 8:33 p.m., October 25, in the 5400 block of southbound Interstate 35.

Police said a 2007 black GMC SUV was stopped when it was rear-ended by a southbound 2012 freight semi-truck that was pulling a 2022 tractor-trailer.

Both occupants in the GMC were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The semi-truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
