2 Dead in Kingsland Plane Crash at Shirley Williams Airport
Kingsland, Texas (April 22, 2019) – Two people were killed Sunday afternoon in a plane crash in Kingsland, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident took place at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday, April 21 at Williams Lakeshore Airstrip at Shirley Williams Airport, which is just north of Legends Golf Course.
Details on how the crash happened were not immediately available, but authorities said the Experimental Rans S-7 Courier burst into flames upon crashing.
The two occupants onboard were killed in the crash. Their names have not yet been released pending notification of their families.
National Transportation Safety Board officials are investigating the crash.
