Two Officers Injured in Dallas DWI Crash on Fort Worth Avenue; Samuel Cooks Arrested

Dallas, Texas – Two police officers were injured overnight Friday after being involved in a crash with a suspected intoxicated driver in Dallas, according to the authorities.

The crash happened just after midnight, December 22, on Fort Worth Avenue.

Authorities said the officers were on the scene of another crash when a vehicle that was being driven by 51-year-old Samuel Cooks crashed into a police vehicle that had its emergency lights on.

Two officers were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. They were treated at a local hospital and released.

Cooks was taken into custody and charged with DWI.

No other information was available.

The police are investigating the crash.
