Two Seriously Injured in Corpus Christi Two-Vehicle Crash on North Padre Island Drive

Corpus Christi, Texas (December 3, 2020) – Two people were seriously injured in a wrong-way crash early Wednesday morning in Corpus Christi, according to police.

The crash happened around 2:15 a.m., December 2, on North Padre Island Drive near the Joe Fulton Corridor.

Police said a Chevy van was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of NPID when it crashed head-on into another vehicle.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The wrong-way driver, a 44-year-old man, was cited for driving the wrong way down the highway.

The police are investigating the crash.
