2 Women Injured in Hit-and-Run on 10th Avenue in Amarillo

Two Women Injured in Amarillo Hit-and-Run on 10th Avenue

Amarillo, Texas (February 22, 2022) – Two women were injured early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Amarillo, according to officials.

The accident occurred around 1:46 a.m., February 19, in the 1200 block of southwest 10th Avenue.

Officials said the two women were crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when they were struck by an SUV.

The SUV fled the scene after the accident.

One of the victims, a 36-year-old woman, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other victim, a 24-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
