Two Women Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash at I-35 and Eisenhauer Road

San Antonio, Texas (August 7, 2021) – According to the police, two women were killed early Saturday morning in a wrong-way crash in San Antonio.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m. in the area of Interstate 35 and Eisenhauer Road.

Police said officers were called out to reports of a pickup truck that was traveling the wrong way near I-35 and I-37, and multiple officers responded. They tried to pull over the driver, but they ignored them, and the pickup eventually crashed head-on into an SUV.

Both occupants of the SUV, women, were killed in the crash. Their names have not been released.

The pickup rolled over and caught fire after the crash. The driver was taken to SAMMC in critical condition, and if they survive, they could face two counts of intoxication manslaughter.

An officer was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
