2-Year-Old Boy Killed in Hit-and-Run on Nairn Street in Houston

2-Year-Old Boy Killed in SW Houston Pedestrian Accident on Nairn Street 

Houston, Texas (October 2, 2022) – According to the police, a 2-year-old boy was killed Saturday afternoon in a hit-and-run accident in southwest Houston.

The deadly accident happened around 4:00 p.m., October 1, in an apartment complex parking lot in the 8400 block of Nairn Street near South Gessner Road and Bissonnet Street.

Police said a 22-year-old man, who was allegedly drunk, was driving at a high rate of speed when he struck the boy in the parking lot and tried to flee the scene.

The boy was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The man was stopped by community members and was arrested by officers. He has been charged with failure to stop and render aid.

Alcohol was a factor in the crash. 

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
