20-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured in DUI Crash on Navarro Street in San Antonio

20-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Navarro Street at East Houston Street

San Antonio, Texas (August 2, 2021) – According to the police, a 20-year-old man was seriously injured early Friday morning in a DUI crash in San Antonio.

The crash happened around 3:00 a.m., July 30, in the 500 block of Navarro Street at the intersection of East Houston Street downtown.

Police said a Toyota Corolla ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

After the collision, the Corolla knocked down a signal light at the northwest corner of the intersection.

The Corolla driver was found to be intoxicated and was charged with intoxication assault. The Ford driver was also found to have been driving while drunk and was booked for a DWI.

A 20-year-old male passenger in the Ford was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.

No other information was provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
