21-Year-Old Man Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 290 in Harris County

21-Year-Old Man Injured in Harris County Pedestrian Accident on Highway 290 near Becker Road

Harris County, Texas (February 15, 2022) – A 21-year-old man was injured early Monday morning in a pedestrian accident in northwest Harris County, according to the deputies.

The accident happened around 12:30 a.m., February 14, on the feeder road along Highway 290, heading northwest near Becker Road.

Deputies said a Toyota Camry was exiting when the driver swerved to avoid a disabled Mercedes in the right lane. The Camry clipped the Mercedes and hit a 21-year-old man who was outside that vehicle.

The man was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

The Camry driver, a 67-year-old, remained at the scene and was not intoxicated.

The deputies are investigating the crash.
