Woman Hospitalized after Austin Scooter Accident on Alamo Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
Austin, Texas (May 20, 2019) – A woman was hospitalized after a hit-and-run scooter accident early Saturday morning in Austin.
Police said the crash took place at around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, May 18, on Alamo Street and East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
A 26-year-old woman riding a scooter was hit by a white Kia sedan, whose driver fled the scene after the crash.
The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, Jerrell Bennett, 70, was later located and taken into custody for hit-and-run.
Police are investigating the incident.
