29-Year-Old Woman Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Eastex Freeway

Houston, Texas (November 19, 2022) – A 29-year-old woman was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 5:40 a.m., November 12, in the 22100 block of Eastex Freeway (North Interstate Highway 69).

Police said the woman jumped off the bridge that goes above and across the freeway and landed on the freeway below, where she was struck by unknown vehicle(s) that then fled the scene.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information about the unknown vehicle(s) is urged to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
