3 Dead in Head-On Crash on State Highway 59 in Clay County

3 Killed, 2 Seriously Injured in Clay County Crash on State Highway 59 near Frog Hollar Road
Clay County, Texas (March 6, 2019) – Three people were killed and two others were seriously injured Tuesday morning in a traffic crash on the county line between Clay and Montague counties, according to a local news source.
The two-car accident took place at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 5 on State Highway 59 near Frog Hollar Road southwest of Bowie, according to a report by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
As per the DPS report, two SUVs collided head-on for an unknown reason.
Three people died at the scene. Two other people sustained major injuries in the crash. One was airlifted to Fort Worth while the other was taken by ground ambulance to Bowie.
The names of the victims have not been released. It was immediately unclear how many people were in each vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation by the DPS.
