3 Injured, 1 Critically in Car Crash on I-37 in Corpus Christi

Three Hospitalized after Corpus Christi Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 37 near Flint Hills Refineries
Corpus Christi, Texas (January 12, 2019) – Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning at a Corpus Christi freeway, according to a local news release.
The fatal crash happened at an unspecified time on Interstate 37, near the Flint Hills refineries.
Police said a man was driving a truck northbound on the freeway when he hit a small passenger car.
The impact caused both vehicles to lose control, and in the process, the truck driver was ejected.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Two other people were also taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
Investigators believe the heavy fog may have been a factor in the crash.
The officers are working to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The police are investigating the crash.
