Police Officer and 2 Civilians Injured in Waco Car Crash at Hewitt Drive and Imperial Avenue
Waco, Texas (April 28, 2019) – A police officer and two civilians were injured Thursday in a traffic accident in Waco, according to a local news report.
The wreck happened at the intersection of Hewitt Drive and Imperial Avenue Thursday, April 25.
As per the report, a Chevy Tahoe driven by the officer, was traveling northbound on Hewitt Drive when it was hit from behind by another vehicle. The force of the impact caused the Tahoe to flip over and trapped the officer.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated the officer from the wreckage. She was then transported to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest.
Two occupants of the other vehicle were treated for their injuries.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
