Three Injured After Van Crashes into Amarillo Building on I-40 and Travis

Amarillo, Texas (August 11, 2020) – Three people were injured on Monday after a van crashed into a building in Amarillo, according to officials.

The crash occurred on August 10, on I-40 and Travis.

Officials said a Holiday Inn Express van exited I-40 on 69A westbound, crossed the median, and crashed into a home on a street corner.

Two women inside the house and the van driver were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Four children inside the home were not injured.

The home was heavily damaged and deemed unsafe after the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws or statues which were violated.
