Three Hospitalized after Corpus Christi Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 624

Corpus Christi, Texas (July 7, 2019) – Three people were injured in a head-on collision Saturday morning in Corpus Christi, according to the authorities.

The crash occurred around 8:20 a.m. July 6, on Highway 624 near Lonesome Dove Road between Bluntzer and Orange Grove.

DPS said a vehicle yielded the right away for an emergency vehicle and before the highway was clear to pass a pickup truck attempted to pass traffic. The pickup then crashed head-on into a Stanley Steamer’s vehicle.

One person in the pickup and two people in the Stanley Steamer’s vehicle were taken to Christus Spohn Shoreline with minor injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
