3 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Old Iowa Park in Wichita Falls

Three Injured in Wichita Falls Two-Vehicle Crash on Old Iowa Park 

Wichita Falls, Texas (July 24, 2022 – Three people were injured Friday night in a two-vehicle crash in Wichita Falls, according to the police.

The crash happened just before 7:00 p.m., July 22, in the 2700 Old Iowa Park.

Police said a GMC Terrain was traveling eastbound in the left lane while a Kia Sportage was traveling westbound in the left lane. The Kia tried passing a truck in front of it using the center turn lane. It continued into the eastbound lane and eventually crashed head-on into the GMC.

The Kia driver, a 58-year-old woman, sustained a broken wrist and ribs. The GMC driver, a 57-year-old man, sustained a fractured ankle. The 57-year-old female passenger in the GMC suffered broken bones and internal injuries.

The Kia driver and the GMC passenger were placed in the ICU at United Regional.

The police are investigating the crash.
