Sherman, Texas (August 14, 2020) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Sherman, according to officials.

The crash happened on August 13, on U.S. Highway 82 near Whitney Road.

Authorities said a car was attempting to cross the highway when a parked semi-truck on the side of the road obstructed the driver’s view of oncoming traffic, and they pulled in front of another car, resulting in a collision.

Three people were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of the victims was airlifted to a Plano hospital. Their conditions were not disclosed.

The DPS is investigating the crash.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
