Three Injured in Garland Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 30

Garland, Texas (August 24, 2020) – Three people were injured in a fiery two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Garland, according to police.

The crash occurred just before 2:00 a.m., August 23, on eastbound Interstate 30 near the ramp to the President George Bush Turnpike.

According to police, a witness said a woman was driving a black Toyota Camry in the second from the left lane when she lost control and hit the left side concrete barrier and a light pole. She then veered back onto the roadway, and the Camry became disabled with no lights.

The witness attempted to divert traffic using the light from his phone, but the driver of a black Hyundai Sonata couldn’t avoid the collision and rear-ended the Camry.

The impact caused the Camry to burst into flames.

The Camry driver and a passenger in the Hyundai were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The Hyundai driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released.

The police are investigating the crash.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
