Three Injured in SE Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 812 near U.S. 183; Silvestre Franco-Flores Arrested

Austin, Texas (February 24, 2023) – Three people were injured Sunday evening in a hit-and-run accident in southeast Austin, according to a local news source.

The crash happened just after 5:00 p.m., February 19, on FM 812 near U.S. 183.

According to the report, a truck rear-ended a van.

An adult was taken to the hospital with a possible concussion. Two children were taken to the hospital with possible broken legs.

The truck driver, 31-year-old Silvestre Franco-Flores, fled the scene after the accident. He was later arrested at a nearby gas station and was taken to the Travis County Jail, where he remains on a $25,000 bond.

The crash remains under investigation.
