Three Injured in Denison Motorcycle Crash on Texoma Parkway near FM 691

Denison, Texas (December 11, 2020) – Three people were injured in a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon in Grayson County, according to police.

The crash happened on December 10, on Texoma Parkway, just north of FM 691 and south of Spur 503.

Police said a car was traveling northbound when it experienced a mechanical problem, crossed over into the southbound lanes, and crashed head-on into a motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider and the passenger were taken to a Plano hospital for treatment.

The car driver was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Denison Police Department is investigating the crash.

Most motorcycle crashes are caused by negligent drivers who don’t keep a proper lookout or fail to yield the right-of-way. Because motorcyclists are vulnerable, their injuries are usually severe, often suffering from road rash, broken bones, brain injuries, amputations, or spinal cord injuries.
