3 Injured in Plane Crash on FM 1431 in Travis County 

Three Injured in Travis County Plane Crash on FM 1431 near Rusty Allen Airport

Travis County, Texas (September 30, 2020) – A man and two women were injured Monday afternoon in a plane crash in northwest Travis County, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash occurred around 2:00 p.m., September 28, on FM 1431, near Tyler Trail.

DPS said a single-engine plane was headed for the Rusty Allen Airport in Lago Vista when it crashed into the woods 50 to 100 yards behind Heritage Construction Co. near the airport.

It took about twenty minutes for the emergency responders to get to the upside-down plane.

Two people were airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin with unknown injuries. Another person was taken by an ambulance to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center with potentially serious injuries.

The NTSB and FAA are investigating the crash. 

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.
