Three Injured in San Angelo Two-Vehicle Crash at Sherwood Way and Southwest Boulevard

San Angelo, Texas (September 14, 2022) – Three people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in San Angelo, according to the police.

The crash happened on September 13, at the intersection of Sherwood Way and Southwest Boulevard.

Police said a white Chevrolet Impala was traveling eastbound on Sherwood when it tried to make a left turn into a private drive without yielding. A Mercedes which was traveling westbound on Sherwood then crashed into the rear fender on the passenger’s side of the Impala.

The Impala driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Both occupants of the Mercedes were taken to Shannon Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.

The Impala driver was cited for driving without a driver’s license and for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
