Three Injured in Potter County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1061

Potter County, Texas (June 5, 2021) – Three people were injured on Friday in a two-vehicle crash in Potter County, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened on June 4, on FM 1061.

DPS said a passenger vehicle was traveling southbound on the highway behind a pickup truck.

The driver of the passenger vehicle failed to control their speed and rear-ended a pickup truck that had slowed down to turn into a private drive.

Two people were airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. A third victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The crash closed the highway, and motorists were urged to avoid the area.

The crash remains under investigation.
