3 Hospitalized after Dumas Crash on U.S. 119 near Highway 287
Dumas, Texas (April 19, 2019) – Three people were injured Thursday in a multi-car accident in Dumas, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The wreck occurred at an unknown time Thursday, April 18 on U.S. 119 near Highway 287.
The DPS said a pickup truck was heading westbound on FM 119 when it failed to yield the right of way to two cars that were traveling northbound on U.S. 287. The pickup truck then collided with the first passenger car that ended up stopping in the middle of the road.
The passenger car was then hit by a second car that was traveling through the intersection.
All three drivers were taken to area hospitals with unspecified injuries. Their names and condition at this time remained unknown.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
