3 Killed in 18-Wheeler Crash on I-20 in Abilene

Three Killed in Abilene 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 20

Abilene, Texas (May 10, 2022) – Three people were killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Abilene, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 4:00 p.m., on May 9, on Interstate 20, near the exit for East Stamford Street.

Police said the crash involved a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler.

Two people in the pickup were killed in the crash. Two dogs were also in the vehicle.

The 18-wheeler driver was taken to Hendrick Medical Center in critical condition, where they also died.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

No other details were available.

The crash remains under investigation.
