Three Killed in Seguin Five-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

Seguin, Texas (August 27, 2021) – Three people were killed Thursday afternoon in a fiery multi-vehicle crash in Seguin, according to the Seguin Police Department.

The fatal crash happened on August 26, on Interstate 10 near the State Highway 123 Bypass.

Police said a semi-truck was traveling on the interstate and was transporting a meat product when it lost its load on the roadway.

The meat products caused the road to get slick, and another semi-truck swerved to avoid a crash, but it crashed into a guardrail and another car.

The force of the impact caused the car to catch fire, and other vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction collision. A total of five vehicles were involved in the crash.

Three people were killed in the crash. Their identities have not been released.

The crash closed Interstate 10 main lanes for several hours.

No further details were available.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
