3 Killed in Head-On Collision on SH 105 in Tarkington

Three Killed in Tarkington Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 105

Tarkington, Texas (September 28, 2020) – Three people were killed, and three others were injured in a head-on collision Saturday night east of Tarkington, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on September 26, on SH 105.

DPS said a 33-year-old Hispanic man was driving a black Chevrolet pickup westbound when he pulled into the path of an eastbound black Chevrolet pickup truck driven by a 56-year-old man. The vehicles then collided head-on.

Both drivers were killed in the crash. A backseat passenger in one of the vehicles was also killed in the crash.

A 15-year-old who was a passenger in the westbound truck was taken to a Houston hospital with minor injuries. Another passenger was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

A passenger in the eastbound truck was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston and is expected to survive.

The crash remains under investigation.
