3 Motorcyclists Killed, 9 Injured in DUI Crash on Highway 16 in Texas Hill Country

Three Killed and Nine Injured in Texas Hill Country Motorcycle Accident on Highway 16

Texas Hill Country, Texas (July 19, 2020) – Three motorcyclists were killed, and nine others were injured on Saturday after they were hit by an intoxicated driver, south of Kerrville, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened on July 18, on Highway 16.

Authorities said the Thin Blue Line Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club was on a ride celebrating the club’s birthday when a driver crossed the center stripe and struck them.

Three motorcyclists were killed in the crash while nine others were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The driver who crossed the center stripe was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated manslaughter and intoxication assault.

The crash remains under investigation.
