37-Year-Old Waco Man Hit and Injured by Vehicle on East Waco Drive and Preston Street in East Waco
Man Hospitalized after East Waco Pedestrian Crash on East Waco Drive and Preston Street
Waco, Texas (July 20, 2019) – A man was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Friday night in East Waco, according to the Waco police.
The incident took place just before 9:15 p.m. Friday, July 19, in the area of East Waco Drive and Preston Street.
Police said a 37-year-old Waco man was trying to cross Waco Drive when a westbound vehicle stopped to let him pass. A pickup truck traveling behind the vehicle failed to stop and tried to overtake it. In the process, the pickup hit the Waco man.
The man was taken to a hospital with a broken elbow and a lost part of his finger.
The crash is under investigation.
